Scoop Dog Joins the Wiggle Waggle Walk and Run 2025 in Ottawa
On Sunday, September 28, Scoop Dog was proud to take part in the Ottawa Humane Society’s Annual Wiggle Waggle Walk and Run 2025. The event brought together animal lovers from across the city for a fun-filled day of running, walking, and celebrating our four-legged friends—all in support of the Humane Society’s vital work.
The event, held at Lansdowne Park with scenic routes along the Rideau Canal, featured something for everyone:
1K Kids Fun Run – 10:30 a.m.
2K Furry Fun Run with pets – 10:00 a.m.
3K Walk – 11:00 a.m.
5K Run – 9:00 a.m.
10K Run – 9:00 a.m.
My girlfriend and her 5 year old great dane named Saul. He helped bring in a lot of people to the booth and was so exhausted by the time he got back home.
This year was especially exciting for Scoop Dog, as it marked our first vendor booth setup. We welcomed families, kids, and pet owners to stop by and join in some lighthearted fun. To collect their event stamp, kids had to scoop a piece of “poop” as part of our interactive challenge—an activity that got plenty of laughs!

Our booth also featured a poop-themed toy claw machine that quickly became a crowd favorite. From silly prizes to big smiles, it was a hit with both kids and parents. It was wonderful to see so many families engaging with us, learning more about our dog waste removal services in Ottawa, and having a good time along the way.

The Wiggle Waggle Walk and Run is more than just one of the city’s best Ottawa pet events—it’s a celebration of community, compassion, and the bond between people and their pets. Scoop Dog is grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful day, and we look forward to coming back next year even bigger and better.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, shared in the fun, and supported the Ottawa Humane Society. We’ll see you at the next Wiggle Waggle!
